Some textures are missing

  1. Verify that your zip file contains textures (.jpg, .png, etc) and/or materials (MTL if you use OBJ format) and that their formats is compatible with Augment.

  2. Open your export format in your 3D design software or in another 3D viewer. If the textures and materials do not show here, you will need to modify your model accordingly, or the export settings.

All textures are missing

There is no texture at all in the zip file. You need to zip your file again, with all the textures.

If you uploaded your model manually, verify that your zip file contained texture and/or material and that their formats is compatible with Augment. Open your original model in the 3D design software, and go to 3D view. If the textures and materials do not show here, modify your model accordingly.

No vertices in this file

This error means that your model does not contain any vertex. Please check the model and try again. Please also check that this model was selected during the export.

Triangulation failed

This message is generated when the Augment server cannot triangulate your model. Please contact support@augment.com

Corrupted file

If you get this message after uploading a file, then your file might be corrupted and cannot be processed. An easy fix is to download MeshLab, import the file, export it in dae, obj or STL , zip it with the appropriate textures and materials and upload again.

Mesh has wrong triangle indices

Mesh indices are wrong (caused by the exporter’s format or version). Reexport mesh with good indices by trying another format or version of the exporter.

Mesh has no normal

Normal’s indices are wrong (caused by the exporter’s format or version). Try another format or version of the exporter.

Your file is over the size limit of 100MB

This means that the file you uploaded is too big in size. Zip files uploaded in Augment must not exceed 15MB.
One of the way to reduce 3D model file sizes is to reduce the number of polygons or triangles. Another way is to reduce the texture’s resolution. You also want to make sure the file is zipped.

Adding a 3D model: Augment does not support more than 1 000 000 polygons. Please simplify your model and try exporting it again.

Solution: This means that the file you uploaded contains too many polygons. if you are using :
Blender
C4D
Maya
Autodesk 3DSMax
